Wilson Hartnell, has announced the appointments of Elisabeth Fitzpatrick and Ruth Gleeson to its senior leadership team.

In their new roles as Managing Partners of the company’s Consumer Practice, Ruth and Elisabeth will lead the agency’s highly successful consumer offering. The appointments come on the back of strong growth for the practice, which has developed award-winning work for a host of Irish and international brands.

Wilson Hartnell CEO Brian Bell,  MPRII, said that the new appointments represented a further strengthening of the agency’s leadership credentials and followed on from last year’s appointment of Sharon Murphy, MPRII, as Deputy CEO.

Bell added: “The appointments of Ruth and Elisabeth to our senior leadership team are testament to the fantastic contribution that they have both made to developing the business. With a team of almost 70 consultants, Wilson Hartnell’s current size and market leadership position has enabled us to invest in our leadership team and expand our agency by constantly evolving our proposition. By doing so, we are also opening up great career opportunities for our people.”

For over four decades, Wilson Hartnell has been involved in some of Ireland’s biggest cultural occasions and experiences. These appointments follow last year’s establishment of the WH Culture Collective – a group of highly-talented cultural thought leaders, which bolster the agency’s skills and insights, enabling it to uniquely keep its finger on the pulse of cultural change in Ireland

Featuring some of Ireland’s most prominent figures from a range of disciplines, the WH Culture Collective offers a unique perspective for many brands wishing to drive cultural relevancy to more deeply connect with consumers in the most powerful and engaging ways. The WH Culture Collective includes former rugby international Paul O’ Connell; food-writer and blogger Roz Purcell; the artist Maser; Angela Dorgan of First Music Contact and multi award-winning TV and radio broadcaster and founder of Whipsmart Media, Jonathan McCrea.

Commenting on her appointment, Ruth Gleeson said: “I’ve been with WH for over a decade and feel very fortunate to work in partnership with some of the best brands in the world. Combining listening technology with a deep understanding of culture and how to leverage it in the development of innovative, creative brand work, is what we do best in WH. It’s an incredibly exciting time for the agency with an abundance of opportunities ahead for us and our clients and I am very much looking forward to playing an even bigger role in our next chapter.”

Elisabeth Fitzpatrick said: “In a world where the dynamic between brands and consumers is constantly shifting, being agile, opportunistic, timely and relevant, has never been more important. I’m delighted to join the senior leadership team. We are very fortunate to work with amazing brands and we will continue to evolve our agency and work to avail of the opportunities for our clients, as they arise.”
