Reporting to the President and the Board directly, the Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for bringing Vision, Leadership and effective Management to ensure the organisation continues to deliver on its strategic plan, remains fit for purpose and delivers on its mission.

The Chief Executive will take responsibility for the effective day to day running of the organisation.  The role involves liaison with the Board on governance, the delivery of the strategy and achievement of objectives. The successful candidate will lead the team, ensure quality educational programmes and events are delivered and grow membership whilst exercising financial prudence and working within the values and ethos of the PRII. External representation is an important element of the role.

The Chief Executive Officer will also act as Chief Executive Officer of the PRCA.

Degree qualified, the successful candidate will be an ambitious and hardworking leader with an accomplished track record in strategic delivery. S/he will be capable of operating at board level and ideally have a sound knowledge and appreciation of public relations as well as the importance of professional development as it pertains to the sector. The appointee will possess a solid understanding of corporate governance together with the financial acumen, excellent communication and advocacy skills as well as the information technology skills required to fulfil this crucial role. A strong personal ambition for what the PRII and PRCA can and should be is required.
