The SABRE Awards is the world’s largest and most prestigious PR awards programme, recognising superior achievement in campaigns that demonstrate the highest levels of strategic planning, creativity and business results in North America, EMEA, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, South Asia and Africa.

The awards are delivered by Provoke, formerly known as The Holmes Report, the authoritative voice of the global public relations industry and the EMEA finalists have just been announced.

Out of more than 600 entries across the EMEA region in this year’s competition, Wilson Hartnell has been shortlisted for four campaigns for its work for clients Janssen, Along Came A Spider’s 20 x 20 campaign (which also won a PR Awards for Excellence Campaign in 2019), Guinness and Smithwick’s.

Responding to the announcement, Sharon Murphy, MPRII, Wilson Hartnell, CEO said, “In these trying times, it is good to be reminded about life before Covid-19 and yesterday’s news put a huge smile on all our faces. The Sabre awards is a highly prestigious event and the largest PR awards programme in the world. We are delighted to see so much of our client work recognised at an EMEA level. It is a great testament to the quality of our team and the great partnerships that we have built up with our clients”.

The 2020 EMEA SABRES were originally scheduled to be presented at an annual awards dinner in Paris on the 28th May. That event has been cancelled due the coronavirus pandemic and the organisers are exploring various alternatives, including a virtual awards presentation. An announcement is expected shortly.
