Owen Cullen, MPRII was appointed Chair of the Board of the Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA) at the Association’s AGM today, 26 February. The PRCA represents the interests of thirty of the top public relations consultancies in Ireland.

Owen Cullen, MPRII who previously held the position of Treasurer on the PRCA Board, takes over from Mari O’Leary, FPRII O’Leary PR, who has completed her two year term.

Siobhan Molloy, MPRII, MD, Weber Shandwick and Joe Carmody, MPRII, MD, Edelman, were re-elected to the Board for a second term at the AGM. The other PRCA Board members are Gill Madden, MPRII, Director, FleishmanHillard, Lorna Jennings, MPRII, MD,  Hanover and Martina Quinn, MPRII, MD,  Alice PR & Events.

Owen Cullen, MPRII is Managing Director of Dublin firm Cullen Communications. He took over the family-owned agency from his father Frank in 2013, himself a founding member of PRCA.  Owen provides high-level strategic guidance and consultancy to a portfolio of national and international clients in sectors including mobility, tech, travel, retail, cybersecurity, healthcare and others. He holds an MBS Degree from the UCD Smurfit School of Business and a Diploma in Business Sustainability Management from the University of Cambridge.

Established over 30 years ago, the PRCA provides a forum for members to communicate with each other, as well as with government and other public bodies and associations. It also aims to represent the Irish PR sector in the media and internationally.
