Leading independent public relations agency, Drury, has today announced five senior promotions and the evolution of its leadership structure. The promotions see the appointment of three divisional Managing Directors, a Chief Operations Officer and a Financial Controller. The new appointments are effective from June 20th.

The new management structure follows a period of significant growth for Drury and sees the business define its offering across three core divisions: Public Affairs and Regulatory, Campaigning, and Financial Communications.

The appointments are:

  • Danielle Martin as Managing Director of Public Affairs and Regulatory
  • Robert Hanly, MPRII as Managing Director of Campaigning
  • Cathal Barry as Managing Director of Financial Communications
  • Breena Cooper, MPRII as Chief Operations Officer
  • Orlaith Sweeney as Financial Controller

This announcement comes following the management buyout of the business from Omnicom Group in 2020 by Anne-Marie Curran, FPRII; Chief Executive, Billy Murphy, FPRII, Chair; Paddy Hughes, FPRII, Executive Director; and Sinead Birt, Finance Director. The owners of the business will make up Drury’s newly formed Executive Committee along with Gerry Naughton, MPRII and non-executive director, Aidan Walsh.

We are delighted to announce these significant promotions and the reorganisation of our leadership structure which sets us up well for the next phase of growth. It is a testament to the bench strength of our business that we have been able to promote from within for these important positions”, commented Chief Executive, Anne-Marie Curran. “It is an exciting time for the Drury business, our people and our clients as we take the next step to continue expanding and delivering market leading advice. The world of communications is constantly evolving and with our new leadership team in place, we are strongly positioned to build on our market leadership position.”
